we went away for the holiday weekend.
i did not bring my camera but i kept busy making.
i finished the quilt for hannah’s birthday. i love her sweet little drawings that i embroidered onto linen.
and i knit a pair of fingerless mitts for a special friend’s birthday.
it feels good to knit again.
i want a pair for me now.

that quilt is incredibly sweet! i’ve caught the quilting bug myself lately too…worked on a quilted pillowcase last night for an hour. so satisfying!

there is so much goodness in this post, amy. keep making! you have such talent. i know hannah will treasure that quilt for many, many years. my great grandmother made me a quilt when i was born & it is my most loved possession. something about the textiles & the hands that created it & all the love that went into that small blanket to keep me warm. p.s. mailing your first issue today! (thank you!)
