we went apple picking yesterday. the light, was glorious, the apples, sweet and juicy and the best part about apple picking is climbing trees.
Oh Fall how i love thee….your air, your light, your colors, the crickets, the crows, the geese, the bounty. but tomatoes, sweet tomatoes oh how i will miss thee. i will savor your sweetness until the soon to be frost.
the neighborhood felt quiet on the first day back to school but we managed to fill up our day with fun and be back in time to hear all about everyone’s day. the girls are looking forward to their first day of program at Open Connections which start on the 20th.
10 days at the lake. heavenly. no cell phones. no computers. no alarm clocks.
fishing, swimming, canoeing, cooking, walks, fires, baths, singing, barn sales, sleeping, reading, playing games, bald eagles, blue herons, open fields, farmers haying, open skies, mossy woodlands, leaves beginning to turn, crisp cool nights, full moon. peacefulness.
